Anybody have any experience buying Iraqi Dinar as an investment?
First off I'm hesitant to call the Iraqi Dinar an investment, I personally would call it high risk speculation. I look at it like a longshot lottery ticket than an investment.
As to your question though I own the Iraqi Dinar as well as the Vietnam Dong. I purchased my Dinar way back in 2004 and the Vietnam Dong more recently.
Some people think that the dinar they bought for say $1000 is going to revalue or rv as they call it and be worth anywhere from 3 million dollars to 12 million dollars overnight. I personally don't believe this is possible, the numbers don't back it up, there's never been another revalue in history anyone can point to, and lastly the old rule if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
That said if Iraq can stabalize economically, financially, and politically and get that oil industry going it's possiblle the currerncy will go up in value and people can make money.

Well it depends, currently there are really no brick and mortar stores, banks, or currency exchanges buying back so at the present time you can really only sell either on ebay, on Dinar forums or back to a dealer.

Are there any US banks that will trade the Iraqi Dinar at this time?
A few years back many large national banks dealt in the Iraqi Dinar such as Chase, Fifth Third, Wells Fargo as well as others. It's tough these days to find banks that deal in the Iraqi Dinar. I personally don't know of any large nationwide banks that do and even smaller banks, local banks and currency exchanges often do not. Seems it's very tough to find a brick and mortar location that buys or sells the Iraqi Dinar. There are a lot of online dealers and ebay sellers though. Best of luck to you.
How can I get my hands on some Physical Iraqi Dinar in Australia?
There are a ton of Iraqi Dinar dealers in the US, many only ship to the US or maybe US and Canada. It can't hurt to shoot them an email or give them a call and inquire though. Ebay is another option hwoever I know many ebay sellers in the US have their accounts setup so foreign people can't buy as it's often hard to estimate shipping and buyers often hold sellers responsible for their own countries customs holding up packages.
